The ARC (Attachment Research Community) Annual Conference was held on 21 November at the Repertory Theatre Birmingham.
The day provided colleagues with a fresh and creative perspective on how staff could approach attachment within their school or setting, through a range of workshops and speakers. Schools across the country were nominated for the Timpson Attachment Award. Worcestershire Schools nominated were - Perryfields PRU, Cherry Orchard Primary School, Stourport High School and Charford First School.
Cherry Orchard were awarded the 'Highly Commended Award' as a result of their amazing work, good practice and the impact that it has on their young people. The Award was presented by Sir John Timpson to Mike Painter Head Teacher and Sue Bedyal, Lead Thrive Practitioner.
Cherry Orchard have been asked to present their good work and share their practice at next year's ARC Conference. A huge congratulations to Mike and his team on the excellent work they do for our young people and staff within their school. It was a very proud day for Worcestershire.
